Printer management and execution mode
Merchant printing settings let an authorised administrator review printers, bindings and the configured execution mode. A saved printer entry alone is not an online executor.
Kitchen printing turns an order into a paper preparation ticket. Receipt printing serves a different purpose: recording a bill or payment for the guest or counter. MenuSnap supports configured print workflows with the printer, rules and execution method chosen for each restaurant.
Set print rules, templates and destinations for each document’s purpose. Available workflows depend on compatible printers, the execution method and restaurant configuration.

Kitchen printing has its own station setting and can be used independently from KDS. Review how eligible items are routed to the kitchen or bar before service.
The POS printing area helps staff review the active setup and printer status. When a task is uncertain, inspect its status and the paper output before requesting another copy.

Kitchen tickets and guest receipts use their own rules and destinations. A connection test does not verify the complete order flow.
Identify whether you need a kitchen ticket, a bill or a receipt. Map preparation to the relevant station and choose the intended printer and template.
Check the exact printer model, 58 mm or 80 mm ESC/POS layout and the device that will print. Network, desktop USB and supported Android Bluetooth connections have different requirements; the browser alone does not connect directly to every printer.
Use the supported independent Print Agent, a primary POS with configured backup terminals, or a fixed POS terminal. The selected executor must be authorised and available.
Check the print rule, template, routing and active executor with the expected document. A printer connection test alone does not verify that a restaurant order will trigger the correct ticket.
No. KDS and kitchen printing are independent settings. Configure the print destination and executor for the paper workflow you need.
Compatibility depends on the model, connection, device and software version. Confirm these details with MenuSnap before relying on a printer or purchasing one.
A test can confirm only part of the connection. Also check the document type, enabled rule, template, station routing, active executor and the resulting task status.
First check the executor, task status and printer output. An uncertain result may already have produced paper; repeating blindly can create a duplicate preparation ticket.
