Access belongs to the right restaurant and role
MenuSnap applies tenant separation and access controls to restaurant and merchant data. Staff access depends on their assigned roles and authorised restaurants; having a login does not grant permission to every screen or setting.
Restaurant administrators should use individual staff access, keep role assignments current and authorise devices for the correct location. Changes to an operating restaurant’s payments, printers or permissions belong to its owner or explicitly authorised administrator.
Service controls and device responsibilities
The published privacy policy describes encrypted transport, password hashing, audit logging, rate limits and operational monitoring. These controls address different parts of service security; no single control eliminates every risk.
Keep supported applications and device software current, restrict physical access to POS and kitchen screens and avoid sharing credentials. Some applications store necessary settings or offline data locally, so device access matters alongside account permissions.
The restaurant and MenuSnap have distinct data roles
MenuSnap is responsible for platform account administration, security, billing and direct support data as described in the privacy policy. For guest orders, delivery, loyalty and restaurant-customer data, the restaurant normally determines the purpose and MenuSnap acts as its service provider or processor.
Service providers can process data in different locations depending on the enabled feature. This page does not promise that all processing stays in the EU. Read the privacy policy for sharing, international transfers, retention and rights, and ask us about requirements specific to your restaurant.
Payments and AI need their own setup and review
A configured online payment provider handles its supported payment process. Recording a confirmed payment from an independent card terminal is a separate operation; it does not mean MenuSnap controls the terminal. Never email full card details, passwords or payment credentials to support.
Optional AI tools help prepare menu content. Restaurant staff remain responsible for reviewing prices, descriptions, options and allergen information before guests rely on them. Enabling an AI feature is not evidence that its output has been checked by a person.
Report a concern with enough context
Email hello@menusnap.com if you suspect unauthorised access or a security problem. Include the affected product, restaurant reference, approximate time and time zone, device or application version and a concise description. Redact sensitive data from screenshots.
For guest order or loyalty data, contact the restaurant first because it normally controls that information. MenuSnap can help route a request; identity may need to be verified before data is disclosed or changed. No response-time guarantee or certification is established by this overview.
